"You go to LA, or you go to New York, and it's really fun to go there. But they're not grounded. Everybody is just competing for the limelight. It's too much entertainment industry. There are too many choices. And it's distracting to me..." Bob Seger
There are few things more beautiful than art and its expression. There are also few things more arbitrary. In a career spanning over forty years, I have had the opportunity to see the entertainment industry from all sides. It is art; it is also a business. This is a fine line to walk as you navigate your way through a career as an actor, writer, producer, director, and now author as I have done and continue to do. From eager student and subsequent graduate of The Chicago Academy for the Arts and The American Academy of Dramatic Arts, to young Hollywood "golden boy with a great future", to now a bit older and, thankfully, wiser President and founder of ScrappyCo Productions, my experiences are expressed through every project my production company enthusiatically takes on. There are currently 31 projects under way at ScrappyCo Productions. I feel very fortunate to be able to say that the first on my list for completion, 27 And All Washed Up, is now available for you to read about my experiences in a compilation of five years of interviews conducted by actor Zak Wilson. 27 And All Washed Up is a narrative about what I affectionately like to call "my trip down the rabbit hole", the kind of which you can only take as a young Hollywood celebrity. Next in line for completion is my independent film with the working title Crazy. I like to call it, "a 'buddy movie' gone wrong." It is my fervent hope and determination to entertain, enlighten, and affect you with every project we complete! Today, have fun browsing through the ScrappyCoProductions official web site and reading about my lessons, triumphs, mistakes, laughter and tears in 27 And All Washed Up... Enjoy the ride!
